Project Description

A SaaS platform to create AI-powered questionnaires. A questionnaire is created by using the integrated builder or by importing a JSON file. The questionnaire is then sent to the audience and the responses can be analyzed in the same application to target their optimal audience. The AI automatically adds context-based questions to the questionnaire when the user answers a questionnaire to add maximum details to the analysis.

Problem

The challenge of this project was to make the user experience pleasant. Having reached a stage where the core features were already in production, it naturally took me some time to get familiar with the code. The situation: a UX that needed work, simplistic and somewhat outdated UI, missing essential front-end features but huge potential (talented back-end engineers had already been recruited for the application and were doing good work).

Solution

To begin with, we had to start with the fundamentals. Knowing that Matthieu S., the project manager, was already presenting the product for sales purposes, I first focused on UI and UX. I added pages and loading indicators, added some animations for more dynamism and fixed several front-end bugs that were already present and frequently caused issues during presentations. Then, I was able to focus on implementing secondary features and secondary design elements (spacings, colors, ...).

Result

The application is now more user-friendly, intuitive, consistent and lets users save time and resources while creating complex questionnaires. Sales were boosted by fewer bugs, a better appearance and a better perceived UX.
